SHOWROOM CLOCKS

1930's, this was a dealership sales
award, from Dixon, IL dealership.

EXTERIOR DEALERSHIP SIGNS
LATE 1920'S - EARLY 1930'S SERVICE STATION PORCELAIN

The three signs above are all different original examples of the same sign.
I believe that different companies supplied these for the Nash dealerships.
Notice the far right sign appears to be a darker color than the first two.
Also, the second sign does not have any company marking at the bottom.
The sign on the top right was made by Nesco Signs N.Y.
(See close up on right).

Late Teens or early 1920's tin sign.

A variation of the above Service Station porcelain sign,
using an opposite color scheme.

Here is a small double-sided late 1920's era sign.

Both of these pictures are
1931 Nash Dealership signs.

EARLY 1930's
This sign is one of only three that I've ever seen.
Originally was double sided and hung outside an Illinois dealership.
The face is glass, with a neon tube surround.

This sign was on a Texas
dealership in 1939.

MID 1930's AUTHORIZED SERVICE PORCELAIN

This is a porcelain sign commonly referred to as the fish scale or scallop design.
The rarer version of the sign carried the LaFayette name across the top as
seen in the two examples on the right.

These are both reproductions of the Mid-30's porcelain sign.
The one on the left is a much closer design match to the original in my opinion,
but both are worth much less than the original.

LATE 1930's-EARLY 1940's PORCELAIN

EARLY 1940'S NEON SIGNS

Here are examples of both horizontal and vertical
neon tube signs, giving the dealer a choice of styles.

5'3"x3' with 12" letters, original cost $98.00.
Originally had Claude Neon "Power Green" tubing.
Made of 18-guage, porcelain enamel steel.

7'x4' with 16" letters, original cost $130.00.

LATE 1940's PORCELAIN
Made by Mt. Vernon Neon

LATE 1940's SERVICE Overall 42",
16-gauge steel, original cost $12.00

A variation of previous sign with different color border and larger letters.

Late 1940's, Horizontal double sided with neon lettering and surround,
from Van Wert, OH dealership.

Examples of the late 1940's vertical style neon sign.

MID 1950's PORCELAIN
Rare, double sided sign made by Walker Co.

1950's USED CARS PORCELAIN

This likely was a Nash sign
that the dealer painted Rambler
over after the company dropped
the Nash name in 1958.

Here is a late 1950's sign
used by a Hudson dealer
who added the Rambler line
after the Hudson Nash merger.

Here is a combination
double sided porcelain sign
that would have been used in 1957
after the Hudson Nash merger.
Made by the Walker Company.

Here is a double sided plastic sign
lighted with fluorescent tubes,
8 feet long, from Canada.

1960's  RAMBLER NEON

Vertical style.

EARLY 60's PORCELAIN

42" overall,
Double sided made by Walker Co..

EARLY 60's PORCELAIN

Larger 60" overall,
